YALE ALUMNI MAGAZINE & ESW
ABOUT OUR COLLABORATION
The Yale Alumni Magazine and Elm Street Watches collaborated on this timepiece to celebrate the storied history and tradition of the YAM. Through its many names and iterations, the magazine has reported on topics spanning every aspect of the University–from the construction of Commons and Woolsey Hall in 1901 and the polar expedition of Lincoln Ellsworth '03 (thats 1903!) to the news and evolving trends forming on campus.

This collaboration piece between The Yale Alumni Magazine and ESW takes its inspiration from a January 1936 cover of the magazine featuring polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth ’03.
The timepiece takes queues from pilots and railroad watches of the early 20th century with a dial color reminscent of the Alumni Magazine's many logos throughout the decades.
